Overview
Runamuk... A Working Ranch Experience Runamuk is for those who want a true ranch experience. The ranch is a fifth generation (since 1886) working cattle ranch raising commercial cattle and horses year round on 18,000 acres of private land consisting of pine tree forests, open meadows and sandstone rimrocks. This is a beautiful mountainous area with plenty of riding up Bull Mountain rimrock and through open meadows. There is a wide variety of landscape here!
You can experience genuine ranch life by riding horses and moving cattle in some of Montana’s beautiful country. Although the main focus is riding, Runamuk also offers an array of activities off the back of a horse to accommodate each group or family member ... great food, horseback riding, massage, yoga, hiking, beautiful scenery and a sanctuary to relax. And don't forget to check out the annual spring roundup and branding and the Labor Day Ride & Gather where the ranch moves the cattle to fall pastures.
Join Runamuk May through June while they calve. This will include daily riding while new calves are born. And don't forget to contact Runamuk about corporate retreats!
Runamuk Guest Ranch does not require a minimum stay and you can arrive and depart on any day of the week. Reservations are booked on a first come, first served basis as they take a limited number of guests per week. Since Runamuk takes less than 10 guests per week, guests revel in truly unlimited riding and the flexibility to devise their own schedule.
Five things that set Runamuk apart from other ranches: - You can devise your own schedule. Starting from the time you want to eat breakfast. You name it.
- Privacy
- Unlimited riding...ride when you want, for how long you want.
- You can arrive on any day of the week, and we do not have a minimum stay. First come, first served.
- One on one opportunity to work with cattle. You're not having to compete with a large group.
Runamuk is located 50 minutes north of Billings, Montana.
December to March, Runamuk is open for lodging as a bed and breakfast, massage and more.
