Overview

There are places on this earth that reach out to us, then draw us in. Price Canyon Ranch is one of those places...

Ready for a change? Price Canyon Ranch is the real thing and not just another resort. Part of the late 1800s original homestead, the ranch is proudly more than a century old. Come and “Ride with a Purpose”. What does that mean? Well, ever get tired of riding nose-to-tail and seeing that same view? Here you’ll ride through Price Canyon’s cattle herd with breeds such as Longhorn, Hereford and Angus and see the new generation of calves. You can ride to find cattle in the mountains, pack salt and protein to the herd - all the normal ranch riding.

Join Price Canyon for an authentic roundup in the spring or fall. Help gather the cattle from the pastures and bring them to the headquarters for the “works”. Try your hand at branding or learn to sort cattle, ranch-cowboy style, along with other ranch activities that help keep a herd healthy. Like people, cattle can only handle so much stress, so get a ranch rope and learn to rope on the roping dummies and then you can try your hand at the real thing.

The ranch is located in the Chiricahua Mountains and is surrounded by the Coronado National Forest. The Chiricahua Apache Indian Chief Geronimo and his band roamed this area much of the time the U.S. Army was in pursuit. Legend has it that the Apache Indians used the same spring that still waters the ranch. Ride to the spring and imagine what it must have been like over a hundred years ago in this untamed land.

Arizona flora and fauna abound. The forest is populated with many varieties of trees such as Live Oak, Ponderosa and Chihuahua pine, and below the mountain range you’ll find incredible Golden-Flowered agave plants. Arizona Road Runners, coyotes, bears and mountain lions, white tail deer and many other species of wildlife can be found on the ranch. So leave your hectic lifestyle behind and come prepared to relax and enjoy the “Ranch Life”.
